Update 2026
Firstly thank you to all our members and staff, who have supported us through the last 12 - 18 months.
We would like to especially mention
June , Bob, AJ, Ian , Rowsey, Francis, Olly , Shel and (last man on Sunday) Phil the builder!
Following the massive loss of our founder Steve Maude, in 2024, we have strived to keep the club going in honour of one of the best friend and father anyone could wish to have.
We have had almost every obstacle imaginable thrown in our path, and with the support of members and staff we have not only managed to overcome them, but also build a foundation for us to continue into 2026 and beyond.
2026 Membership
As everyone is aware, costs have risen across all sectors of business and leisure activities over the past 2 - 4 years, and obviously we have not been exempt from those cost rises.
We have seen an increase in clay target costs of 15%, waste disposal costs of 20%, escort vehicle driver costs of 50% and a massive 70% increase in the fees payable to the MOD to allow us access when ranges are closed. ( More range closed days meaning more cost for us )
In line with the ethos set by Steve, we are keeping the annual membership fees at the very competitive price of £120 per year but we will have to increase our clay target costs as follows :
Members - 40p per clay / £40 per 100 target shoot
Non members - 52p per clay / £52 per 100 target shoot
Membership is now open for joining and renewals
See the membership page for more details
We will be closed 1 August 2026 - 30 August 2026

Update to Shoot closure 10-04-2025
10 April 2025
Unfortunately we are still closed , subject now to a Natural England inspection ,following the uplift of the Bush Fire threat level across the estate to red.
We do not envisage opening before the Easter holiday as Natural England have to have notice to attend
We are working with all the relevant stakeholders to get open as soon as we can.
Thank you to all the members who have emailed us with messages and offers of support.
It means a lot to us that we have such good friends.
Once we have more information we will advise you as soon as we can
